Meredith Armbrust

Dr. Armbrust completed an undergraduate degree in Music at Penn State. She worked on a Masters in Counseling Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with emphasis on both Marriage and Family Therapy as well as Individual work with adults, children, and those with substance use issues at McClean Hospital, Belmont, MA. While at Gordon-Conwell Dr. Armbrust worked on a Masters in Religion degree addressing the forces that create personal, family, and systemic change, especially in urban settings.

Dr. Armbrust earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, now known as William James College, with emphases on community mental health, severe and persistent mental illness, and testing, assessment, and consultation. Her dissertation examined group process in church staff teams and the correlation of quality of team functioning with selected outcome measures.

A sampling of training experiences include the Massachusetts General Hospital (Chelsea), Westborough State Hospital (APA Internship), Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates (predoc), and Brighton Alston Mental Health Association (postdoc).

Dr. Armbrust maintains a love for music and has been found directing choirs, teaching children, and singing and playing for fun on stage and with her family.
